Abstract:ABSTRACT: Objective To establish an analytical method for the determination of pyrethroid pesticide residues in Chinese chives by gas chromatography- mass spectrometry. Methods The samples were extracted with acetonitrile solution by QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, safety) method, salting out by sodium chloride, purified by N-propyl ethylenediamine (PSA), and determined by GC-MS under the selected ion monitoring mode (SIM) after concentration and constant volume, and quantified by external standard method. Results The result showed that excellent linear relationships for 7 kinds of pyrethroid pesticides were observed in the concentration range of 0.01-0.2 mg/L with the regression coefficients of 0.9989~0.9995. Under the 3 spiked levels of 0.010, 0.050 and 0.10 mg/kg, the recoveries of all compounds are between 85.4% and 102.4%, and the relative standard deviations (RSD, n=6) ranged from 1.8% to 6.1%. Conclusion This method is simple, rapid and accurate, and can be used for the determination of pyrethroid pesticide residues in leek samples.
