Abstract:Because of many advantages,uncooled focal plane thermal imaging systems are widely used in both military and civil fields.To a large extent,the operating temperature characteristics of an uncooled focal plane array can decide the imaging quality of the imaging system.To meet the fast,stable and digital requirements of an uncooled focal plane thermal imaging system,an AVR Microprogrammed Control Unit(MCU) is designed.The running speed and stability of the temperature control system are improved by adjusting the parameters of a proportional-integral(PI) compensation network in the MCU.Compared with other methods,this method has a greater improvement in digital programmability, stability and running speed.The experimental result shows that the temperature control system can keep the uncooled infrared detector operating at the optimal temperature accurately and stably.
