Development of Modified Polyester and its Application in Functional Textiles

In order to improve the properties of ordinary polyester fibers, various modification technologies are usually used to modify the disadvantages of dyeing, poor hygroscopicity and easy pilling of polyester fibers or fabrics. The development methods and research status of modified polyester fibers such as chemical modification and plasma treatment are reviewed. The main application progress of functional modified polyester fibers in textiles such as anti-bacterial, flame retardant and far-infrared is analyzed and discussed, which provides reference basis and examples for further research.
