| Abstract: | This paper describes the relation between characteristics (insertion loss and return loss) of optical fiber connectors and the shape structure of the ferrule endface and pol ishing technology. The design requirements of the shape structure of the ferrule endface are discussed. The test results of several different shapes of the ferrule end face and polishingtechnology are given. |
