沈从文先生的服饰研究历程（一）

沈从文先生生于1902年、于1988年辞世,是我国近代著名的小说家、散文家和历史文物研究专家。他的文学作品《边城》《湘西》《从文自传》等,在国内外有重大的影响,并被译成日本、美国、英国、前苏联等四十多个国家的文字出版,他晚年专著《中国古代服饰研究》一书,填补了中国物质文化史上的一项空白。沈先生的一生是坎坷的一生,是奉献的一生。本文是笔者根据和沈先生曾经共事及学习的经历,以及与沈先生有过接触的前辈们的回忆录所整理,希望能通过此文为大家展现出沈先生研究服饰史的具体历程。本文将分多次连载。

The Costume Research Experiences of Mr. Shen Congwen I

Mr. ShenCongwen was the contemporary novelist, proser and expert in research of historical relics in our country, whose lifetime was from 1902 to 1988. His literature for instance Biancheng, Xiangxi, Autobiography of Congwen etc. had significant influence on both China and foreign countries that was published in more than forth kinds of language as Japanese, American, English, Soviet... besides, his monograph The Study of Chinese Ancient Costume in his sunset made up the vacancy of history about Chinese material culture. This article was based on the author＇s experience regarding working and learning with Mr. Shen, or the memories of the seniors who had had the association with Mr. Shen, in the hope of revealing the lifetime of Mr. Shen as a costume historian.
