分块自适应量化算法的FPGA实现

摘    要:详细介绍了采用FPGA实现分块自适应量化(BAQ)算法的设计方法。该设计选用Xilinx公司100万门FPGA,采用自顶向下的方法,实现了3位长BAQ压缩算法。设计中通过资源共享来降低资源消耗,通过并行和流水来提高处理速度,满足了星载系统小型化、低功耗和高可靠性的要求。与专用DSP方案相比,采用FPGA的实现方案极大地简化了电路设计的复杂性和布线的难度。

Abstract:An implementation method for block adaptive quantization(BAQ) algorithm using field programmable gate array(FPGA) is presented.The design uses the top-down method and FPGA of 1 000 000 system gates by Xilinx Corp.,so the 3-bit BAQ algorithm is implemented.To meet requirements of the low power consumption,the small size and the weight,the speed is improved by using the pipeline and the hardware scale is deduced by sharing system resources.Compared with the system using the single chip DSP,the new design simplifies peripheral circuits and is easy to be routed.
