| Abstract: | Pragmatic theory is of great value in handling problems of language use in translation.Taking Kunming Metallurgy College as an example,the paper discusses the translation of nameplates and publicity materials and explores how these pragmatic concepts as context,relative theory and cooperative principle are applied in translation practice. |
