| Abstract: | By comparing various tool changing modes of vertical machining centers, a new cam controlled automatic tool changer is introduced, which is mechanical interactive type without manipulator. This article discribes its structural characteristics and working principle. It also provides design requirement and calculating process of the controlling cam profile. |
