| Abstract: | An experimental study on heat transfer and resistance coefficients has been performed for the case of air flowing across bundles of bare and rifled tubes in aligned arrangement with varying transverse and longitudinal tube-pitches and differing tube geometry. Correlative equations for heat transfer and resistance are obtained, applicable for the layout of horizontal air preheaters with bundles of rifled tubes in aligned arrangement, especially in the case of circulating fluidized bed boilers. Figs 11, tables 2 and refs 8. |
