Analysis on Sustainability of Empty Space in Architecture

With the concept of sustainable development going deep into each aspect of architecture, designers pays more and more attention to the sustainability of building and urban development. This paper starts with architecture design method, takes empty space in building as the breakthrough point, and discusses how to apply this design method, which roots in Chinese traditional culture, and exert far-reaching influence to architectural sustainable development. The combination of architecture and sustainable development should be implemented in each phrase of building project, from scheme to construction, running through each link. However, the empty space in architecture creation appropriately provides direction and method of architectural sustainable development on the level of building space design.
