Investigation of a tetracycline-regulated phage display system

Abstract:A new vector (pGZ1) was developed for bacterial phage displayof antibody fragments using a transcriptional regulation elementwith tight control. The tetp/°-based phasmid exhibits fullysuppressed scFv background synthesis in the absence of inducerand is independent of glucose as a catabolite repressor. Thevector is shown to be a useful alternative to commonly usedlacp/°-regulated systems.
