摘    要:复杂背景中车牌定位技术,是车牌识别过程中的技术难点,提出了一种基于连通域分析的车牌定位方法。该方法通过边缘检测方法进行车牌粗定位,再对粗定位图像进行连通域标记,然后利用级联分类器筛选车牌字符连通域,最后结合车牌模板确定车牌位置。实验表明,该方法定位车牌的准确率高,能够适用于国内现行的多种规格民用汽车牌照的定位。

Abstract:An approach based on connected components analysis is proposed for (?)icense plate location in complex scene which is a diffi-cult technological problem in license plate recognition. Firstly, edge detection is adopted to detect the coarse position of license plate; sec-ondly, connected components in candidate plate areas is labeled; then, connected components of the chars are selected by cascade classifier;license plate is located accurately based on the license plate template at last. The results show the proposed method has the high accuracyrate and the adaptability for specifications in China.
