Abstract: | Conclusions 1. Shapes from low-carbon steels of the St3 type can be hardened to σy≥500 MPa in a line of small- and medium-section mills by the method of interrupted quenching by turbulent water streams. 2. High service and technological properties are provided in the rolled stock with σy≥500 MPa under the condition that the surface hardness is limited to ≤320HV.
