Abstract: | Collected data regarding work, social activities, medical treatment, life satisfaction, and self-rated adjustment from 154 adults with spinal cord injury in 1974 and again in 1985. There was an increase in years of education, in employment rate and satisfaction with employment, in the proportion of the sample who were married, and in self-rated adjustment across that period. Frequency and days of hospitalization decreased. Significant correlations indicate a moderate degree of stability in the ordering of individuals within the sample over time.
