论党的阶级基础与群众基础的辩证统一

一切政党无不具有鲜明的阶级性。不断增强党的阶级基础是保持党的先进性的首要前提．党的性质的判断标准与党的工人阶级先锋队的要求决定了党必须与人民群众保持紧密的联系，扩大党的群众基础，不断提高社会的影响力．这是马克思主义建党理论的内在要求。我们党的奋斗历史也表明中国共产党不仅是中国工人阶级的先锋队，也是中国人民和中华民族的先锋队．在新的历史条件下，面对改革开放和建设有中国特色社会主义的繁重任务，党要实现新的历史使命，更加需要增强党的阶级基础，扩大群众基础．

On the Dialectical Unity of the Class Basis and the Mass Basis of the Party

All the parties are characterized by distinctive class nature. A constant strengthening of the Party's class basis is the first prerequisite to keeping the advanced character of the Party. The judging criteria of the Party's nature and the requirement for the Party as the vanguard of working class determine that the Party ought to keep close connection with people, to enlarge mass basis and to raise the influence on the society. The struggling history of our Party indicates that C.P.C. is not only the vanguard of the working class of China but also that of the Chinese people. Therefore, under the new historical condition and for fulfilling the new historical mission of the reform and the construction of the socialism with Chinese characteristics, the Party needs to strengthen its class basis and to enlargei its mass basis.
