Abstract:Determination of polymer-polymer interaction parameters (b23) has been made by viscometry for poly(methyl methacrylate)/poly (ethylene oxide) blends, in solution, of a wide range of molecular weights of both polymers. The results obtained show that the compatibility of the polymer pair PMMA/PEO in 1.2-dichloroethane depends not only on the molecular weight of the samples used but also on the concentration of one polymer in relation to another.
