摘    要:本文提出一种快速实现H.264运动估计的算法。该算法利用视频图像中存在大量空/时域冗余这一特点,在运动估计过程中引入预判空间相关性和时域稳定性的方法,节省了大量不必要的计算步骤。试验结果表明,该算法运动估计时间仅为JM84的30.3%,峰值信噪比(PSNR)仅降低1.1%,码率平均增加3.95%。

Abstract:A new fast Motion Estimation algorithm in H.264 is proposed to significantly improve the time efficiency. The characteristic of video sequences that exists great deal spatial/temporal redundancy is utilized in the algorithm. It imported early-terminate strategy of predicting the spatial homogeneity and temporal stability and can reduce lots of computational quantity. Experiment results show that proposed algorithm can achieve a reduction of 70% ME time on average, with a small average PSNR loss of 1.1%, and approximately 3.95% bit rate increases compared with the original H.264 reference software JM84.
