The synthesis of 2 ( n dodecyldithio) benzothiazole |

| Abstract: | The synthesis of 2 ( n dodecyldithio) benzothiazole is described.The compound was confirmed by elemental analysis,IR and 1HNMR spectrophotometric techniques. The authors tried to improve its solubility in mineral oil with the introduction of a long chain dodecylgroup,and to assemble an S arrangement with a different bonding structure by introducing a disulphide arrangement besides the heterocyclic sulphur. |
