| Abstract: | This article defines euphemism semantically and pragmatically, discussed the forming methods of English euphemism from perspective of semantics, phonetics and pragmatics, analyzes euphemism's relationship between context and cooperative principles, and puts forward the ways to use and interpret a euphemism in pragmatic terms. |
