Abstract: | Abstract An oxidation desulfurization process for model sulfur compound has been investigated using sodium tungstate and sodium hydrogen sulfate as the catalyst and 30% aqueous hydrogen peroxide as the oxidizing agent. The effect of the reaction time, the reaction temperature, the amount of the oxidizing agent and the catalyst on the removal of dibenzothiophene (DBT) were investigated. The sulfur compound was extracted with the solvent after oxidization. The higher removal of DBT was up to nearly 80%. |
