Abstract: | Abstract A newly developed imidazoline inhibitor was introduced in this article. Its inhibition effects for mild steel were investigated by weight loss measurements with a different additive dose, immersion time, corrosive media temperature, and concentration of HCl solution. The results showed that this imidazoline inhibitor was suitable for mild steel, which was usually used in petrochemical plant equipment in acid media, and had an excellent inhibiting effect at a concentration of 100 μg/g, 6 hr immersion time, and with the concentration of 0.0001 M HCl solution at 50°C. |
