半导体激光器在光孤子通信中的应用

摘    要:分析了光纤通信中光源的特性.从光的相干性开始,对发光二极管(LED)和半导体激光器(LD)的原理、结构、性能和耦合效率进行对比,得出半导体激光器的特点,发现半导体激光器更适合于大容量、长距离传输的光通信系统.半导体激光器在新一代光纤通信系统——光孤子通信系统中,无论是作为光孤子光源还是EDFA的泵浦源,都发挥着重要的作用.未来半导体激光器将发挥着更重要的作用.

Abstract:The characteristics of the light source in fiber optic communications were analyzed.According to the coherence of light,the principle,structure,performance and coupling efficiency of the light-emitting diode(LED) and laser diode(LD) were compared,so that the characteristics of laser diode were obtained,and that laser diode was found to adapt to the fiber optic communications with large capability and long-distance transmission.In the new-generation optical soliton communications system,whether as a light source of optical soliton or a pumping source of EDFA,laser diode exerts very important function.The Laser diode exerts more important effect in future.
