| Abstract: | Sediment from depositing in the forebay of pumping stations that intake sedimentcarried water decreases pump effciency and wastes energy. Through investigation on a lot of pumping stations that intake water from the source of Yellow River,the author analyses its relation to the types of forebays of pumping stations with sediment from depositing,and suggestS ways to prevent sediment from depositing in the forebay of pumping stations that intake sediment-carried water. |
