| Abstract: | A new advance in the field of the metal halide discharge lamp-mercury free metal halide lamp is summarized. In general, problems occur in metal halide lamps that do not contain mercury. Possible substitutes for Hg in metal halide lamps have been investigated. One of the most promising replacement candidates for Hg is Zn or halides like ZnI2.Several experiments and some results are described. |
