| 摘 要： | 从生存环境、社会习俗、宗教信仰和化传统四个方面对英汉成语进行了比较，提出了直译、意译、直译意译相结合、引用和解释等具体的翻译方法和技巧，并指出了成语翻译中应该注意的一些问题。

| Abstract: | This paper makes a comparison between English and Chinese idioms from four aspects: living environments, social customs, religious beliefs and cultural traditions. Then it advances such translation methods and skills as literal translation, free translation, their combination, borrowing and explanation. It also points out some questions to which we should pay attention in translating idioms. |
