Preparation and Properties of Polyurethane Elastic Fiber for Diapers

The research and development of polyurethane elastic fiber for diapers by Yantai Tayho Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. were introduced. Its production process and product performance were described in detail. The key production processes included: a semi-continuous polymerization, dry spinning under nitrogen protection with circular spinning channel and mechanical false twisting, etc. The performance of polyurethane elastic fiber product of this method was compared with other company′s. The test results showed that the product had excellent physical indexes (high tensile strength, high elongation stress, high breaking elongation and high rebound resilience). polyurethane elastic fiber for diapers produced by this method had better adhesive performance with non-woven fabrics than other company′s products.
