Abstract:The work aims to improve the dimensional accuracy of mandreless die spinning parts. The twin-wheel spinning machine was used to study the aluminum alloy parts by the response surface experiment optimization design method from the feed speed of the wheel, the core die speed, the forming angle of the cone, the billet and the forming part of the maximum opening diameter ratio. The prediction model of aluminum alloy parts and dimensional accuracy was established. The regression coefficient and variance analysis of dimensional accuracy were carried out with Design-Expert software, and the process parameters were optimized to get the optimal values. Within the selected process parameters, diameter ratio had the greatest effect and forming angle, feed speed and core die speed had no obvious effect. When the feed speed was 50 mm/min, the rotation speed was 575 r/min, the forming angle was 30°, and the diameter ratio was 1.2, the dimensional accuracy deviation reached the minimum value of 0.5125 mm. The feed speed of the wheel, the forming angle of the cone and the ratio of the maximum opening diameter between the blank and the forming part have significant effects on the dimensional accuracy of the part, all of which are positively correlated with the dimensional accuracy deviation. However, the rotation speed of the core die has no obvious effect on dimensional accuracy. The maximum dimensional accuracy deviation occurs at the transition fillet of the core die and the flange edge.
