Abstract: | The results of putting a fundamentally new type of anode mass with a decreased (from 28 to 24%) content of coal-tar pitch
and an increased content of the dust fraction of petroleum coke into industrial use are presented. This approach improves
the environmental conditions in the works and increases the economic indices of the electrolysis technology of aluminum. A
layout of a shop for making the anode mass for the Soderberg colloidal anode is described. The properties of pitch and coke
are investigated, and the quality of the produced anode mass is evaluated. The results of a performance test allow one to
speak about the competitiveness of the electrolysis technology of aluminum with the Soderberg anode. |
