Abstract:Based upon a detailed comparable analysis on the actual production status, historical background of application and technological analysis of two different typical casting processes. It is firmly proved that the gravity diecasting process represents the worldwide significant advantage in comparison with low pressure diecasting process on the industrialized casting production of aluminium cylinder heads, which is regarded as one of the most important and complicated component especially for the multiple valve engines widely used today in the modern automotive industry.
