Major Reasons of Gender Difference in the Chance of Receiving Higher Education in China

It is the fact that the gender difference exists in the chance of receiving higher education in China. The author thinks that the traditional concepts, urban- rural difference, stratum difference, economic development and bad influence of the society are the major reasons resulting in gender difference. It points out that changing traditional concepts, reducing urban- rural difference, devoting major efforts to develop economy, construct good social mood and establishing female' good social images are the main measures to reduce the difference.
