掌纹感兴趣区域定位与选择方法综述

作为生物特征识别领域的前沿课题，掌纹识别仅有十余年的研究历史。感兴趣区域（ROI）定位与选择是掌纹识别中的重要任务和热点问题，通过该步骤得到的ROI将用于后续的特征提取和匹配，其质量对识别率等指标影响很大。为了使研究者了解此问题的研究进展，对目前的掌纹ROI定位选择方法进行了综述。给出了定位选择的基本概念和步骤，并对各种不同方法进行了归类阐述和分析，在讨论了各自优缺点的基础上，提出掌纹ROI定位与选择方法发展方向的建议。

Survey on orientation and selection methods for palmprint Region of Interest

As a leading subject of biometrics technology,palmprint recognition has only been investigated for about ten years. The orientation and selection for the Region Of Interes（tROI） are very important tasks in palmprint recognition process,and the issues have been wildly studied.Since the obtained ROI is used in the following feature extraction and matching,its quality has a significant influence on the indicators such as recognition rate.An overview is provided for the researchers to catch up with the lately research progress in this region.The basic concepts and steps of orientation and selection are listed.Different methods are categorized and then described and analyzed respectively.Based on the analysis of the advantages and disadvan- tages of each method,suggestions for the future development of palmprint ROI orientation and selection methods are provided
