Sn1−x Pbx O2 sputtered thin films as photoanodes for photoelectrochemical cells

Abstract:Pbx Sn1?x O2 thin films have been prepared by glow discharge. These films have been characterized by X-ray and microprobe analysis. The photoelectrochemical behaviour shows anodic and cathodic corrosion either in the dark or under illumination. The onset of photocurrent is pH dependant. Photocurrent versus the wavelength is shifted to the visible range of the spectrum when lead content increases.
