Selection and Development Direction of Copper Matte Smelting Process

This article describes main techniques and characteristics of copper matte smelting in domestic and foreign copper ino dustry in an aim to provide reference for expansion and modification of copper pyrometallurgical projects. Based on practices of large scale copper companies in China, comments are made that flash smelting will become direction of copper pyrometallugical plants, and Noranda and Ausmelt process should be considered by expansion or modification of old plants.
