美国钢铁公司三季度盈利同比增长分析——钢铁企业的核心竞争力已由“技术”向“技术＋资源”转变

2008年三季度，国内各大钢铁公司报表发布，净利润增速大幅回落，甚至有不少钢铁公司同比净利润有一定幅度的减少，这显示了中国钢铁行业一个高增速、高盈利时代的结束。于此同时，远在大洋彼岸的美国钢铁公司（United States Steel Corporation）三季度报表却报出了创纪录的利润增长率——同比增长超过2．4倍!这一增长率也两三倍于其在关国国内的主要竞争对手：纽柯钢铁公司和国际钢铁集团（ISG）。是什么原因使美国钢铁公司在现在的经济环境下，利润增长率保持如此强劲。探究此原因，对于国内钢铁公司重新考虑发展战略，摆脱当前经济危机，甚至抓住机遇进一步发展壮大，有巨大积极意义。以国内钢铁行业龙头——宝钢与美国钢铁公司进行比较，通过探寻两公司盈利模式差异，揭示美国钢铁公司的利润增长根本原因。并以此提出宝钢现阶段发展战略转变的建议。

THE ANALYSIS ON THE 3RD QUARTER INCOME REPORT OF UNITED STATES STEEL --the key competition power of steel industry swifts from ＂technology＂ to ＂technology ＋ resource＂

In the 3rd quarter of 2008, main China＇s steel companies announced their quarter reports, which indicated that the growth of these enterprises＇ incomes declined rapidly and some companies＇ incomes even less than the same period last year. I regard this as the end of China＇ s steel industry＇ s high growth. At the same time, on the other side of the Pacific, United States Steel released its quarter statement, stating a high record of net income growth, increase more than 2.4 times than the same period last year. This growth rate was 2 to 3 times as other America＇s main steel maker such as Nucor Corporation and International Steel Group. How can USS gain such a great net income in this hard time？ Finding out the reason means a lot to China＇ s steel makers. Here 1 would like to compare the USS with the leader steel maker in China, Baosteel Group. I hope I can find the exact reason of USS＇ s record growth by comparing these two eompanies profitability.
