The continuing development of world economy requires more and more energy, this paper finds out the quantitative relationship between energy consumption and economy development by regressing the historical data using econometric method. And then through data of economical development data forecasted by authoritative organizations, this paper summarizes the trends of world's energy consumption, which brings more stress to the energy supply. And, it briefly analyzes the challenges of world's energy supply. Finally, this paper puts forwards some prospects for energy in the future.
