摘    要:为了提高车牌上的字符识别准确率,提出一种结合Trace变换和支撑矢量机(SVM)的字符识别方法.在字符识别方面,以Trace变换方法提取字符特征,并运用支持向量机对字符进行模式分类.将算法应用到实际的车牌字符识别中,识别结果表明,这种方法在提高识别速度的同时,有效提高了字符的识别精度.

Abstract:To improve the recognition accuracy of the characters on car license plate,a novel method based on the Trace Transform and support vector machine (SVM) was proposed.In character recognition,the trace transform method is chosen to extract character features,and SVM classification is used as the method to identify characters.The result of vehicle license plate recognition demonstrated that this algorithm can offer higher prediction accuracy and less decisive time compared with other methods.
