Abstract:Conclusion The basic reason of increase of the wear resistance of high-chromium cast iron blades exposed to impact-abrasive action (treatment by metal shots) is the partial transformation of austenite to martensite and deformation hardening of phases with simultaneous rolling in of carbide particles.Belorussian Polytechnical Institute.
