Abstract: | In a study with 100 undergraduates, repeating a to-be-remembered item as part of the distraction task in a paradigm originally presented by J. Brown (1958) and L. R. Peterson and M. J. Peterson (1959) did not lead to recall superior to that obtained when such an item was not present during distraction.
