Application of Hole Bottom Water Medium-controlled Blast Technology in Zhujabaobao Iron Mine

For mining pits,especially those open-pit mines where water accumulation is serious,it is difficult to achieve ideal blasting effect in blasting-drilling by general blast methods.The paper describes the working mechanism,design principle and operation method of hole bottom water medium-controlled blast technology and its application in Zhujiabaobao Iron Mine,aiming to provide the reference for the application of this technology in similar mines.The application results indicate that this blasting technology is both economical and practical for the mines where blasting should be done in water containing places.
