| Abstract: | In order to basically improve the present silicothermic reduction process for magnesium smelting, this paper started with the idea of taking liquid calcium as reductant. Based on the feasibility studying of the new magnesium reduction process deoxidizing by liquid calcium, an installation of the new style magnesium reduction process has been designed. The installation is simple, environment friendly and can make magnesium continuously. |
