摘    要:虹膜识别技术是人体生物识别技术的一种,它作为重要的身份鉴别特征具有唯一性,稳定性,可采集性和非侵犯性等优点.与脸像,声音等身份鉴别方法相比,虹膜具有更高的准确性.而虹膜内外轮廓提取是虹膜识别技术不可缺少的关键步骤.文章介绍了一种有效的虹膜内外轮廓检测方法,使用灰度投影方法估计虹膜内边缘圆心位置;然后采用边缘检测方法得到虹膜边缘图像,使用Hough变换准确检测虹膜内轮廓;最后使用一维信号检测确定虹膜外边缘点同时使用Hough变换检测虹膜外轮廓.实验结果表明,该方法能够有效检测出虹膜内外轮廓.

A Method to Detect the Iris Outer and Inner Limbus

Abstract:The iris recognition technology is one of the most convenient and accurate biometric authentication.As an important identity feature,iris has the uniqueness,stability,easy-availability,inviolability and so on.However,the iris outer and inner limbus detection becomes very important for the iris recognition.This paper described a effective method of detecting the iris outer and inner limbus.First,intensity mapping was proposed to detect the parameters of the inner limbus roughly.Second,sobel edge detection was used to obtain an iris inner limbus and Hough transform was used to fit the circle of the iris inner limbus.Third,the one dimensional detection was used to detect the iris outer limbus edge point and the Hough transform was applied to obtain the outer circle of the iris outer limbus.The experimental results show that proposed method is very effective.
