Penetration of an electric field into a superconductor. II

Abstract:An expression has been obtained for an extra potential at the superconductor-normal metal interface which is valid for an aribtrary electron mean free path. The effect of anisotropy and paramagnetic impurities on the penetration length of an electric field into the superconductor has been investigated. In sufficiently pure superconductors with long energy relaxation time the electric field attenuates, oscillating at distances less than the correlation length.
