Numerical simulation of spinning deformation of thin walled tube in necking process

The spinning deformation of thin walled tube in necking process is simulated with a dynamic explicit FEM program,LS DYNA3D and the distributions of Cauchy strains and thickness are analyzed through time history to achieve a good understanding of the deformation in necking process by spinning and the numerical simulation results are in good agreement with the test results.
