摘    要: 采用光学显微镜分析、化学成分分析和力学性能试验,对40Cr钢端轴断裂件进行分析。结果表明,端轴断裂属于疲劳断裂,断裂源处焊接不当,造成应力集中,是端轴断裂的原因之一。该轴经调质处理后的组织为回火贝氏体,而不是工艺要求的回火索氏体组织。热处理工艺不当是造成端轴断裂的另一重要原因。

Abstract:The failure of 40 Cr steel end axle is analyzed by metallographic examination, chemical analysis and mechanical testing. The result showed that the failure of 40 Cr steel end axle belongs to fatigue fracture. The stress accumulation in the end axle originated from improper welding led to the fatigue fracture. The microstructure of the material after quenching and tempering was found to be tempered bainite,rather than tempered sorbite expected by the technology,another reason of the failure is the improper heat treatment.
