| Abstract: | As the basic principle of public key cryptography, unidirectional function and the unidirectional trap door function is introduced. Then based on the thorough analysis of the RSA algorithm, the function of data encryption, digital signature and key exchange, realized with RSA, is described. Also, the application of RSA in the PGP system is studied. |
