| Abstract: | The challenges and solutions for planning and optimizing UMTS networks in term of radio interface are proposed in this paper. Firstly, we introduce the specifications of air interface of WCDMA. Then solutions are discussed for system planning, including coverage planning, capacity planning, code and frequency planning. The key optimization and monitoring indicators of WCDMA network performance are discussed at last. |
