Abstract: | The anomalous resistivity of nickel near the Curie temperature T
c is investigated using the itinerant model of the magnetic electron. The 3d-band wave functions are used to calculate the form factor. The temperature derivative of resistivity diverges positively when T approaches T
c from below and negatively when it approaches from above. The calculation of the correlation function shows that both short-range and long-range orders exist. The critical exponents = 1/2 and = 0 are equal to the Ornstein—Zernike values in the paramagnetic region, but in the ferromagnetic region in addition to these values ![Ngr](/content/h0172811712j3516/xxlarge925.gif) 1 = 1/2 and ![eegr](/content/h0172811712j3516/xxlarge951.gif) 1 = 0 there is simultaneously a second set of values ![Ngr](/content/h0172811712j3516/xxlarge925.gif) 2 = and ![eegr](/content/h0172811712j3516/xxlarge951.gif) 2 = –1. |
