On the choice of methods for the prediction of the water-activity and activity coefficient for multicomponent aqueous solutions

Some of the various methods of predicting thermodynamic properties of multi-component aqueous solutions have been critically examined and interrelated. Recommendations are made for the best choice of method according to data available, accuracy required and type of solute.
