Strategies on Integrating Historical Culture Resources in the Process of Urban Development

Based on explicit examples, the paper probes the ever growing role of cultural resources in reinforcing city competitiveness , ad hoc that of historical culture resources to urban development in China, heightening the competitiveness of Chinese cities internationally. Nonetheless, while carefully studying the status quo of historical culture and its conservation in China, some bias ignoring the value of historical culture and being indifferent to contemporary masterpieces innovation are easily identified. The paper suggests finally some constructive ideas to strategy formulating from different aspects.
