| Abstract: | A general correlation has been obtained for estimation of closed-cup flash point of organic compounds from their normal boiling points. Estimated flash points are within a deviation of about 10% of reported values. However, separate correlations have been obtained and recommended for acids and alcohols for estimation of flash points for more accurate results. |
